The Shift

The Shift is the Belgian meeting point for sustainability and brings together over 370 organizations (amongst which private companies and academic institutions) to realize the transition towards a more sustainable society and economy. The Shift was founded in June 2015 by the former sustainability networks KAURI and Business & Society Belgium. The AXE Group was a founding member of Business and Society, an initiative taken by the corporate sector in order to enhance social responsibility. “Founding fathers” include Ahlers, Cockerill Sambre, Glaverbel, Interlabor Group, Belgian Shell and Société Générale de Belgique. They joined forces in order to draw the attention to the problem of social exclusion, to encourage corporate initiatives enhancing the integration on the labour market and to exchange views and experiences.
