The AXE Group is also a founding member of Business and Society. The Belgian Enterprise Network for Social Cohesion is an initiative taken by the corporate sector in order to enhance social responsibility. "Founding fathers" include Ahlers, Cockerill Sambre, Glaverbel, Interlabor Group, Belgian Shell and Société Générale de Belgique. They joined forces in order to draw the attention to the problem of social exclusion, to encourage corporate initiatives enhancing the integration on the labour market and to exchange views and experiences.
